What a week this has been. It started last weekend with a Food Blogging Conference at Disney World. My hubby and daughter got to come with me. Oh what fun! My daughter discovered a love of roller coasters and finally, fireworks. She has been afraid of fireworks up til now. I got to meet so many fantastic food bloggers and got some new ideas for the blog. One of which was to start to make videos. I’m going to try out this new skill right now. Here goes:
It is definitely a work in progress but for my first one I’m OK with it. Eventually I will try to progress to making live instructional videos for some of the recipes. Hopefully you won’t get sick of seeing little videos in the meantime. It was so much fun to make.
Back to this week…We got home Sunday night in time for my little’s final three days of kindergarten. We had her class party and today was lunch and dancing on the lawn. It is so hard to believe she is done with kindergarten. It has gone so quickly but was a fantastic way to start school. She is going to miss it so much. Luckily we have some fun planned in the next couple of weeks.
I haven’t forgot about the Health Challenge either. I have been trying to find the relaxation exercise about walking down 20 steps but so far no luck. I am reviewing other relaxation books to see what might work best for me. Usually during the summer, dieting is much easier for me. I hope that works this year too.
As for this weeks food, I shared my favorite smoothie, Mango Guanabana Smoothie with cottage cheese to give it that nice milkshake texture. It was also time for the Secret Recipe Swap in which I made Greek Layered Cheese Spread. Finally we ended the week with a fun family dinner, Grilled Andouille Sausage Pizza with Arugula Salad.
