So I’m thinking about changing up the Friday post, Weekly Review. I need a new title, any suggestions? I’ve gotten away from the weight loss aspect of this blog and that was really my original purpose. I’ve let my hubby’s heart condition take over and allow myself an excuse to stress eat. I’m finally getting back on track and want to put some accountability on myself. The Friday post seems like a great place to do that. Does anyone want to weigh in each Friday with me? You don’t need to tell me how much you weigh. Just come and comment about any weight you have lost. If you gained, come and ask for support. Let us know what caused your issues this week and we will see if we can come up with ideas to help each other. I will do the same. I’ll give you the good, bad and ugly of my weight loss each week. If you don’t need to lose weight or don’t want to focus on the scale, set a fitness goal for yourself each week and tell us how you did. Maybe you just want to start with getting more fruits and veggies in each day or drinking more water. Maybe you want to concentrate on walking or exercising. That will fit in perfectly too. I find that I eat healthier when I am accountable to others and allows need a little extra support.
So if you would like to join me on my healthy challenge, please leave a comment below about what you are challenging yourself to next week. My goal is 1 lb weight loss. If you have an idea for a name for this challenge, let me know. I would love to hear them. Lets see if we can get healthy together.
As for the recipes this week, I’ve continued with my healthy Mother’s Day recipes. Whole Wheat Strawberry Cream Cheese Pull Apart Bread with Nutella Glaze takes advantage of a can of Pillsbury Whole Wheat reduced fat biscuits. It is so easy even your kids can make it (with a little supervision) for breakfast. Bake some Harvest Grain Bread and your house will smell wonderful. It makes perfect sandwiches or toast. Finally my Honey Lemon Cookies are moist and delicious. They are a great little dessert or after school snack.
Next week will have more Mother’s Day Tea recipes. You’ll see Lemon Rosemary Scones, Ham Salad and Strawberry Wonton Napoleons. Until then…
Happy Healthy Eating!
