Whole wheat ranch pasta salad with a dressing of a little caesar and a little ranch makes the perfect healthy pasta salad for your summer BBQ.
Pin Caesar Ranch Pasta Salad here.
There is an adorable little bakery and cafe by my house. I have fallen in love with their chicken salad sandwiches and especially their pasta salad. Whenever I would splurge on lunch, that is exactly what I would have chicken salad on marble rye with a side of pasta salad. I would slowly chew the pasta salad and try to figure out what the sauce was. Sometimes I thought it was a caesar dressing. Other times I thought it tasted like ranch. Finally I gave up trying to guess and asked them. They used a combination of caesar and ranch dressing. Brilliant! Just brilliant! Why did I not think of that? I have never thought to mix caesar and ranch together before, but they go together like peanut butter and jelly.
This pasta salad is very quick and easy. You can make your own dressings or buy your favorite low calorie brand. I have low calorie recipes for each. Then add some defrosted peas and carrots. Some red pepper for crunch and whole wheat pasta. That is it. Simply delicious. It will fit perfectly with any BBQ or potluck. You will have everyone guessing what the sauce is. They may taste a little caesar or a little ranch. Only you will know it is the magical flavor of both combined.
