Enjoy a little taste of candy corn with dark chocolate and white chocolate in this Halloween themed Bark.
Can you resist Halloween candy? Do you raid your kid’s Halloween candy? Do you hear it call your name and beg you to eat it? Do you wait until the last minute to buy candy and buy something you don’t like? Let’s face it from Halloween on, eating healthfully is tough, really tough. I always wait until the last moment to buy Halloween candy but I do buy what I like. I remember as a kid being so thrilled when I got chocolate and bummed when it was something else. So I buy chocolate.
We My daughter always comes home with so much candy. I end up throwing it away around Easter time. She does like candy but doesn’t want to eat a lot of it. Yes, I raid it. I try not to but a little miniature milky way can’t hurt too much, right?
This year I decided to make my own candy. My little one and I love candy corn so I thought making some Dark Chocolate Candy Corn Bark would be fun. I had to add a little white chocolate because, well I love it! This stuff is knock your socks off good. I ate a little piece and saved one for my little one and sent the rest into work with my hubby. He called me to tell me that there were lots of “oohs” and “aahs” while everyone was eating the bark. I loved hearing “the best ever” and “make more”. I knew I had a winner and it is so easy. It took me all of five minutes to make. I think I am going to become a “bark making maniac”.
I can even say this is a “healthy” dish, right? I love hearing how healthy dark chocolate is, at least in moderation. Dark Chocolate Candy Corn Bark is rich, you only need a little piece. It makes the perfect candy for “adult trick or treating”. You won’t need to raid your kid’s Halloween candy, just hide the Dark Chocolate Candy Corn Bark for yourself. Put it high up in the pantry where no one else can find it. It is too good to share.
I’m sure you will be seeing some type of bark pop up around Christmas time. It is too good not to make it again and again. In the meantime, make yourself some delicious Halloween bark for yourself and let your kids keep their candy.
