Healthy recipes starring summer vegetables and fruit as well as recipes perfect for grilling, barbecuing or taking to a potluck.
While I know that technically summer is from June 21st to September 21st, I always think of summer in accordance with our school year which is the end of May to the beginning of August. Even though the weather is still hot and humid here in Georgia, I start to think of Fall weather, fall food and fall fun. It will be here soon enough, so I want to enjoy all those lovely summer foods while I can. I will be so sad to see home-grown and heirloom tomatoes go, as well as corn on the cob. I cannot forget Georgia peaches and watermelon. So let’s enjoy the recipes that were most popular this summer. Enjoy them while you can. We will soon be onto apples and pears and all things Fall.
