When I was little, the only Winter squash I knew about was acorn squash, and did I ever love it. Years later I had butternut squash and the love affair continued. Now I can find so many different varieties. Have you seen sweet dumpling squash? I tried it for the first time a couple of years ago. It was love at first bite. Buttercup squash has become a recent favorite, too. Spaghetti squash has certainly gotten very popular as a pasta substitute. There is also delicata which has edible skin. Yeah, no need to peel.
