A combination of an apple pie and a pecan pie with less sugar is a little healthier and perfect for your Thanksgiving.
I’m a little bit apple, and I’m a little bit pecan pie. Sing it Donnie and Marie.
If an apple pie and a pecan pie had a baby, this whole pie would be their baby. I took my Mom’s pecan pie recipe and combined it with my apple pie recipe to come up with this unique twist on a healthier and less sugar Apple Pecan Pie. Don’t get me wrong. This is not a “No” sugar recipe. It has corn syrup, not be confused with high fructose corn syrup. It is just regular old light corn syrup. That is what gives it that pecan pie feeling.
It is the best of both worlds. Apple Pie and Pecan Pie seem to be the champs of the Thanksgiving and Christmas pie season. I am thinking this Apple Pecan Pie is going to give them a run for their money. While it is lighter, you may still need to go for a run afterwards.
